The government requires a REAL ID to travel, but do you have the proper documentation for your spiritual identity? In a world of deep fakes and subjective truth, discovering who you really are according to God’s Word matters more than ever.

The Context

We are kicking off a brand new series titled "Your REAL ID," drawing a parallel between the Department of Homeland Security identification requirements and the believer's need for spiritual proof of identity. We also look back to the trial of Jesus in the Gospel of John, examining the moment Pilate asked the question that defines our current culture: "What is truth?"

The Core Message

We live in an era where technology is rapidly advancing, and artificial intelligence is blurring the lines between reality and fabrication. Society often claims that truth is subjective—that "my truth" can differ from "your truth." However, this message establishes that Truth is absolute, not an opinion. Jesus declared that He came to bear witness to the truth, and He identified God’s Word as the ultimate standard of that truth.

To know our real identity, we must be sanctified—set apart—by the Word of God. Just as a computer output is determined by its programming, our lives are shaped by what we believe. If we allow the world to program us, we will conform to its image. But if we choose to believe the report of the Lord, we begin the process of renewing our minds. This transformation allows us to see beyond the natural realm and walk by faith, anchored in the certainty of who God says we are.

The Application

  • Reject Subjective Truth: Stop accepting the cultural lie that truth is relative; anchor your life in the objective Truth of Scripture.

  • Audit Your Programming: Be mindful of the media, music, and messages you consume, as they shape your subconscious and your identity.

  • Renew Your Mind: Actively replace past lies and negative labels with what the Bible says about you.

  • Walk by Faith: Trust God’s Word over your natural senses, especially in a world where "seeing is believing" is no longer reliable.

Conclusion

Join us as we strip away the lies of the world and secure the only documentation that truly matters: your unshakeable identity in Christ.
