Believing God healed in the Bible is one thing. Believing He still heals today is another. Believing healing is for you is the breakthrough. Scripture says by the wounds of Jesus you have been healed — past tense, already yours. Part 18 of the Your REAL ID series unpacks two new identity truths: I am healed, and I am saved.

The Context

Isaiah 53:4-5 declares that Jesus "Himself bore our sicknesses... and by His wounds we are healed." 1 Peter 2:24 echoes the same truth in the past tense — "by His wounds you have been healed." Acts 2:21 declares that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved, and the Greek word translated "saved" (sozo) also means healed, delivered, and made whole. From these passages, two new Real ID truths emerge: I am healed (Isaiah 53:5) and I am saved (Acts 2:21).

The Core Message

This Part 18 message comes after a 12-week pause — the longest gap in the series so far. Pastor Tim Howe transparently shares why: when the Lord first gave him the Real ID truth "I am healed," he pushed back. He had known God as his healer for decades, but he had not seen healing as his identity. Over the course of three months, the Lord walked him through a personal renewal. A tooth that had been giving him trouble traced back to an infected root canal from twelve years prior — and after months of praying for healing, the Lord eventually asked, "Why won't you let Me heal you?" The healing came through letting the dead tooth go. Ten years on blood pressure medication had quietly shifted his self-image from "healed" to "seeking healing." The breakthrough came when he realized he had been looking to his flesh to validate the Word, rather than letting the Word redefine how he saw his flesh.

The biblical foundation runs deep. Ephesians 2:8-9 says "by grace you have been saved through faith... not a result of works" — and the very same Greek word, sozo, is what the woman with the issue of blood received when Jesus told her, "Your faith has made you well." Healing is received the same way righteousness is received: by grace through faith, as the natural expression of an identity already purchased at the cross. A vivid picture drives the point home — Meagan bought him a watch for their anniversary two weeks before giving it to him, and the moment it was purchased, hope shifted to anticipation; he was no longer wishing for it but waiting to wear what was already his. Healing is the same. The message also confronts common leaven that has weakened the church's faith — the idea that God is teaching us through sickness, that Paul's thorn in the flesh was an illness (Scripture says it was a messenger of Satan to harass him), and the subtle prayer "if You are willing" that quietly questions the Father's love. Standing in faith does not mean refusing doctors or doing foolish things; it means anchoring identity in what Jesus has already paid for and letting the Word transform how you see yourself.

The Application

  • Renew Your Mind: Take whatever time it takes — days, weeks, or months — to meditate on Scripture until what you believe about healing aligns with what God has said.
  • See By Faith: Picture yourself as already healed and whole in your identity in Christ, regardless of what your current physical evidence is saying.
  • Release Dead Things: Sometimes healing comes through letting go of something the Lord is calling you to release rather than holding onto it in stubborn faith.
  • Watch For Leaven: Reject teachings — however well-meaning — that subtly question God's willingness to heal or that frame sickness as a tool God uses to refine you.
  • Receive By Grace: Healing is received the exact same way salvation was — by grace through faith — not by works, diet, exercise, or anything you can perform.
  • Walk It Out: Get a specific picture of what walking in healing looks like in your situation, and let that vision shape the decisions you make from this day forward.

Conclusion

Take a few minutes to listen to this powerful Part 18 message and let the truth of Scripture transform how you see yourself — already healed, already saved, by the finished work of Jesus.
